The Library of the European Union Information started its work on November 20, 1998. It is the only library in Latvia, which provides specialized information on the EU issues. The aim of the library is to furnish everybody with thorough information on the EU.

The Library has a wide range of collection and materials on EU issues: handbooks, monographs about the European Union institutions and structure, the European Union law, economy, social policy, environment, external relations, EU enlargement; materials about Latvia and European Union. There are approximately 76 periodicals about EU and 220 units of electronic information material.
